Thank you.\n\nIn 2008, Gerhard Richter began working on small, abstract paintings in lacquer, followed, in 2013, by the series Flow, consisting of larger paintings behind glass. Like a number of his series, these magnificent color landscapes play with chance as a design element. Spilling his paints across a sheet and allowing them to run into one another, Richter intervened in their undirected flow with his brush and palette knife until a composition or a structure arose, on top of which he then laid a sheet of glass. He thus captured one precise moment from a process of flux.
